You don’t need a Pinterest-perfect suite. You just need a little strategy.
Getting ready is chaotic and emotional and fun… and often filmed in tiny rooms with clutter everywhere.
Here’s how to set your space up like a pro.
Look for:
big windows
neutral walls
minimal overhead yellow lighting
If there are two options, pick the brighter one. Always.
You don’t have to Marie Kondo the whole suite.
Just pick one area that will be your “clean zone.”
Move:
suit bags
food trays
Amazon boxes
water bottles
random purses + jackets
Your media team will love you forever.
Gather:
rings
invitations
vow books
perfume
heirlooms
shoes
bouquet when it arrives
Put them in the clean zone so detail shots are fast.
A dress on a plastic hanger in a dark corner is tragic.
Best spots:
a window
a clean door
a pretty hook or wardrobe
anywhere with space behind it
If possible, set HMU stations near windows.
Natural light makes skin tones look correct (and flattering).
If you want robe / pajama shots, great.
But choose a hard “dressed by” time so no one’s in leggings during first look prep.
Pro tip: Put all drinks in matching cups.
It sounds silly, but it keeps your getting-ready footage from looking like a frat house.
